About Us

At Avenue D we are extremely passionate about dance and the performing arts, and how it can enrich each individual: from physical fitness, balance and coordination to self-confidence, teamwork and discipline.

Avenue D was established in 2010 by Danni Camage and has grown to consistently produce all-round performers.

Danni dedicated herself to the performing arts from an early age, studying all styles of dance with Janice Breen Performance Studio from the age of three. After completing the HSC she went on to study Human Movement and Teaching at the University of Technology, Sydney, with a view to become a PD/H/PE teacher. Whilst studying she taught numerous dance groups at local primary schools, with groups successfully auditioning for places in the Sydney North Dance Festival and Ryde Schools Spectacular at the Sydney Opera House. She graduated with a Bachelor of Human Movement and a Bachelor of Teaching in 2009, however, had other ideas and … in 2010 Avenue D opened its doors at the North Ryde Scout Hall! In 2022, we moved to our very own location in College Street, Gladesville.

We have worked to build a culture where everyone feels welcomed, both students and parents alike. It is a place where every child feels valued. Dance friendships last a lifetime, and Avenue D prides itself on the fact that the children love being part of their dance family.

To be one of very few dance schools selected to perform consistently at the Carols in the Domain Pre-Show and the Sydney Royal Easter Show is indeed a huge honour and a reflection of the talent and discipline of the students.

Part of Avenue D’s philosophy has been to give back to its community and the students have participated in numerous local events: The Moocooboola Festival, Korean New Year,

Denistone East Moonlight Markets, Eastwood Heights Fireworks, Halloween at Eastwood Plaza, Cox’s Road Mall events, North Ryde Carols on the Common, to name but a few…

We are extremely proud of what we have built at Avenue D. It is more than a dance school, it is a family. We welcome new members with open arms!
